TUTORIAL: Connecting to your web space without using a FTP client

For the purpose of this tutorial we assume you are familiar with FTP having used it before.  This method has been tested by us using Microsoft Internet Explorer vs. 6 and 7 and in Mozilla Firefox 1 and 2.

Step 1.

Open a browser window. Enter this in the URL (location) line (text box)
ftp://yourusername:yourpassword@yourdomainname.ext click enter and you should be connected. Depending on how the FTP server is setup you may be able to substitute the servers IP  in this manner
ftp://yourusername:yourpassword@xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

• If using this method you must use this protocol ftp://  using ftp. here will not work
